Gluing & Clipping
To automate the assembly of the battery tester, R&D Technology developed a cobotised solution to glue and clip the case with its cover.
The operator first positions the box on the robot’s gripper. The robot then applies the two-component adhesive bead to the edges of the housing. Once the operation is complete, the operator checks, validates and then tells the robot to position the box in the clipping area. Finally, two-hand control allows the operator to clip the components.
