ARRIVAL

  • February 2013: Electrical design/procurement manager
  • Late 2014: Automation/Robotics Project Manager
  • Since 2020: Technical Analysis Manager.

4 February 2013: my first steps in the company.

At that time, we were still located in DOSSENHEIM-SUR-ZINSEL and there were far fewer of us. I started by drawing the electrical schematics and very soon I had to take care of the supply and logistics of the material needed to wire the machines. From now on, each workload is equivalent to a person or a department. The change is radical and above all it allows you to be more reactive and efficient in your field.

Late 2014: Orientation towards automation and robotics

This soon led to me being on the customer’s premises, training staff in the operation and maintenance of our machines. Apart from the schematic, I was also in charge of programming. The machines had almost no secrets for me.

Early 2020: I’m offered another job …

Technical Analysis Manager. This position allows me to know the needs of the customers and to help guide the mechanical engineer who designs the machine with my experience as a former automation specialist. The objectives are to give a maximum of information to facilitate the electrical diagram and the programming. I also write the instructions for use that will be given to the customer.

Quite an evolution and I hope to evolve further.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE EVOLUTION OF R&D OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS?

R&D Technology started out in the house of the managers’ grandmother and has now moved to a magnificent 4500 m² building. It has gone from strength to strength and I personally believe that it is not going to stop. Many things have changed, especially in the last two years.

WHAT ARE YOUR MOTIVATIONS FOR WORKING AT R&D?

The teamwork, the novelties that each project brings, the working environment and all the tools that are at our disposal to carry out our different missions.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE WORK ATMOSPHERE AT R&D?

Young, dynamic, progressive…

HOW DO YOU SEE THE FUTURE OF R&D?

R&D Technology is gaining the respect of its customers thanks to its experience and longevity.

WHAT IS FOR YOU THE MAIN ARGUMENT TO JOIN R&D TECHNOLOGY?

At R&D Technology there is no room for boredom or taking it easy. There’ll always be new and rewarding projects to make us think and find innovative solutions.
